Coinciding with the opening of the new factory in Solihull in the
mid-50's the decision was made to 'cut out the middle man' and sell
direct to the retail shops, previously were supplying to the wholesale
trade exclusively.
The UK sales force consisted of 8 reps and 4 sales agents. Each
carrying a full range of samples of the extensive jewellery range,
crested souvenirs and mirella gifts. This equated to 6/7 large (heavy!)
sample cases. Calling on jewellers, department stores, gift shops and
including the many costal resorts for the crested souvenirs.
